Situation: A national organization struggled with a range of
organizational issues. Communication between chapters, donors, volunteers, and
members was strained and ineffective and the result was low organizational
performance and a struggle to raise funds.
Strategic Solution: advance4 LLC completed a limited assessment of the
organization that mapped the various aspects of the organization and determined
areas of strength and weakness. Using the assessment as a tool, advance4, LLC
then developed recommendations and action items for the organization to remedy
communication problems, increase funding streams, and increase membership.
Result: The organization implemented the recommendations from the
limited assessment. Membership increased. Resource development strategies,
particularly those implemented locally by various chapters, are raising more
dollars. And communication is consistent between the organization's
headquarters and constituent groups through the use of a newsletter, and a
relational database that ensures contacts are kept up to date and informed.
